Being in nature can help to calm and ground us, thereby supporting our mental health. The physical movement of outdoor activity helps to clear stress from our body and through heightening our awareness of the sights, sounds and smells of the natural world, we can feel better connected to ourselves.
Walk & Talk therapy provides an opportunity to combine the benefits of walking in nature with counselling/psychotherapy. ‘Metaphors offered by nature may develop into insight on feelings, relationships and experiences.‘ Venture Trust, 2024
I offer 1-1 Walk & Talk sessions in Alexandra Park, Dennistoun, Glasgow. This beautiful nature sanctuary provides us with three routes, one with wide paved flat paths, the other with steeper grassy woodland paths or a combination of the two. Features include a planted fruit garden and small lochs with wildlife. There is an abundance of mature trees and wonderful views from the top of the hill.
FEES: £65 per session, duration 50 minutes (see Bookings & Fees)
An initial Assessment Session is undertaken online prior to starting Walk & Talk. For further information please contact me here.
